Summary: | A 4GOPS 3 way very long instruction word architecture (VLIW) image recognition processor was proposed based on configurable media processor. The template architecture of media processor consisted of processor core, on-chip memory, user defined instruction units and dynamic memory allocation controllers (DMAC). The media-processor was optimized for target applications and was found to be advantageous for compact system at low costs. The proposed system was suitable for data-centric applications and was designed for automatic automobile rear and side surveillance systems. |
