Ca3Ga2Ge4O14 (CGG)-type Sr3Nb0.95Ga3.083Si2O14 single crystal grown by the Czochralski method for piezoelectric applications
The stoichiometric composition (Sr3NbGa3Si2O14) was found to melt incongruently. Hence, the composition of the starting melt for Czochralski growth was chosen from DTA results. Sr3Nb0.95Ga3.083Si2O14 (SNGS) was the proper composition to grow. This resulted in SNGS single crystals having a Ca3Ga2Ge4O...

Summary: | The stoichiometric composition (Sr3NbGa3Si2O14) was found to melt incongruently. Hence, the composition of the starting melt for Czochralski growth was chosen from DTA results. Sr3Nb0.95Ga3.083Si2O14 (SNGS) was the proper composition to grow. This resulted in SNGS single crystals having a Ca3Ga2Ge4O14 structure (point group 32, space group P321), grown by the conventional Czochralski method. 10 refs. |
