Description
Summary:A systematic procedure for synthesizing a linear recursive system of multi-dimensional whose unit-impulse response closely approximates a given linear nonrecursive unit-impulse response is herein developed. The basic concepts to be utilized are first presented for the one-dimensional case in which the data to be processedx(n) is a function of one integer index variable. These concepts are then extended in a straightforward manner to treat the two-dimensional case in which the data to be processedx(m,n) is a function of two integer index variables. An extension to the higher dimensional data case can then be obtained in a straightforward fashion.
