Description
Summary:A study on the influence of boundary conditions for a thin laminated rotating cylindrical shell is presented. The analysis is carried out using Love-type shell theory and solved using Galerkin's method. The displacement fields employed consist of beam functions in the axial direction and fourier functions in the circumferential direction. Extensive results on the influence of boundary conditions and contour plots for the nodal displacements are presented. The analysis has been examined by comparing results with those available in the literature.
