Summary: | A new polarization insensitive neutron waveguide is proposed and realized experimentally for the simultaneous guiding of two neutron polarizations. The basic idea is the combination of thin film and anti-resonant reflecting waveguides into a single structure. With a special transmitted beam technique, two guided modes pertaining to a single polarization are observed, in good agreement with theoretical predictions. (Author) |
