A new coupling effect due to the presence of an air gap between a microstrip leaky-wave antenna and a half space
A coupling phenomenon is presented for the situation of a microstrip leaky‐wave antenna (LWA) in the presence of a half space with an air gap situated in between the antenna and the half space. Theoretical analysis of the dispersion characteristic is performed using the spectral‐domain method. The r...

Summary: | A coupling phenomenon is presented for the situation of a microstrip leaky‐wave antenna (LWA) in the presence of a half space with an air gap situated in between the antenna and the half space. Theoretical analysis of the dispersion characteristic is performed using the spectral‐domain method. The results clearly show that two modes couple as the air gap thickness is changed. © 1998 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. Microwave Opt Technol Lett 19: 200–203, 1998. |
