Summary: | A study is made for the influence of hydrophobic butadiene-styrene polymer SKS-30 OKh on the flocculation and flotation of sludges containing chalcopyrite, pyrite, and sphalerite. It is established that the effect of the polymer increases when the sludges are first hydrophobized with xanthate. Additions of the hydrophobic polymer during the flotation of chalcopyrite and sphalerite by butyl xanthate increase sludge recovery and flotation rate. Such additions also improve the floatability of granulated material, which may be of practical interest for the flotation of finely disseminated sulfide ores. |
