Summary: | By measurements of Josephson plasma resonance (JPR), authors study the interlayer phase coherence in Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8+y single crystals with partially introduced columnar defects. In the half-irradiated Bi2Sr2CaCu2O8+y, authors observe several resonances, which cannot be regarded as a superposition of each constituent part. The frequency dependence of the highest resonance field, which is considered to originate from the irradiated part, shows cyclotron behavior that is different from the ordinary JPR. The resonance field in a region is affected by the neighboring region with different phase coherence over a macroscopic scale. 11 refs. |
