Summary:The first NMR study of MnAs epitaxial thin films grown on (0 0 1)GaAs is reported. Based on the invariance of 55Mn and 75As hyperfine fields it is shown that the local magnetic properties of MnAs thin films remain the same as in the bulk material. A hysteresis of the domain pattern upon applying the magnetic field is inferred from the evident reversible changes of the NMR spectrum shape.
