Summary: | A set of crystallographic formulas for the fcc( gamma )- > hcp( epsilon ) martensitic transformation was deduced by introducing shuffle and shear probability into W-L-R theory. This set of formulas are successfully applied to explaining the crystallographic features of the transformation, including the habit plane, orientation relationship of two phases and the value of surface relief. In addition, the introduction of shuffle on (0001) sub hcp plane can flexibly adjust the position of atoms to make habit plane keep as the invariant plane when d sub 111 not =d sub 0002 . Since the transformation is shear-controlled, the value of surface relief is mainly determined by the shear probability of three possible shear vectors with Shockley partial type. |
