Description
Summary:The development of a train of EW solitary waves induced by boundary forcing is studied using a Petrov–Galerkin finite element scheme with shape functions taken as quadratic B-spline functions. A linear recurrence relationship for the numerical scheme is obtained via a Crank–Nicholson approach involving a product approximation. Results are compared with those for the RLW and KdV equations.
