Estimation of the corrosion resistance of BHC-17 and EVI-69 steels after nitriding them in a magnetic field

The corrosion resistance of composite phosphate-nitride layers on BHC-17 and EVI-69 stainless steels nitrided in a magnetic field is discussed. The protection of the steels in a 3% NaCl solution is shown to be of a predominantly electrochemical mechanism.
