Summary: | The activity of the peroxides used decrease in the order: dicumyl peroxide > bis-\+i\ t\-i\-butyl peroxy isopropylbenzene > benzoyl peroxide. The grafting reaction takes place inside the film and on the surface where the formation of groups give a diffuse absorption band as studied by attenuated total reflectance ATR infrared spectroscopy. The modified film is also characterized by a wetting tension of 35 dynes/cm and shows anhydride group characteristics. (Original abstract - amended) |
