Summary: | The adhesion performance of the grains is the most important factor to determine the service life of mono-layer brazed abrasive tools. Bending test is designed and carried out to evaluate quantitatively the adhesion performance in this paper, where the test-pieces are prepared by brazing grains on a steel plate. The grain type used is cemented carbide YG8 (ISO K30) with a shape of sheet. The effects of brazing temperature and soldering flux are investigated experimentally. The result shows that the evaluating method proposed is effective and practical. (Substrate material: A3 carbon steel. Grain material: YG8 cemented carbide.) |
