Description
Summary:Electrochromic (EC) glazings for architectural window systems must have desirable solar control properties, be designed for high-volume manufacture, and exhibit outstanding durability. This paper discusses performance and both real time and accelerated testing of prototype monolithic lithium-ion EC glazings in insulating glass units (IGUs). Outdoor exposure at New Jersey and Arizona (desert) test sites shows good switching performance under the different solar irradiance conditions. Accelerated test results include room temperature and elevated temperature electrochemical cycling, electrochemical cycling in combination with photo/thermal cycling, and temperature/humidity testing of IGUs.
