The role of oxygen in obliquely deposited tapes

The role of oxygen will be discussed in comparing some experimental tapes to a commercial Hi8ME tape. Both the oxygen flow and the deposition rate play an important role in understanding how oxygen is incorporated in the film during the evaporation process.
