The optimum C/SiO sub 2 ratio and temperature for preparation of the Si sub 3 N sub 4 powders were selected. For the SiO sub 2 -C-N sub 2 system examined, the boundary temperature between Si sub 3 N sub 4 and SiC formation was established, in relation to the amount of carbon introduced. |
