Description
Summary:For years, restoring sight to the blind is counted as nothing less than miraculous. However, computer engineering, ophthalmology and biology are uniting in an effort to achieve just that. Bio-electric vision or popularly `the artificial eye' explains briefly how far the field has come and how far it can go. Enhanced vision, prostheses vision, and artificial vision are the probable paths of development of the artificial eye. Successful implementation of an artificial eye has advantages. However, it may also create problems for humans.
