Summary: | Boundary element methods using curved surface triangular elements are often applied to the electric field analysis of high-voltage equipment. In this paper, a nine-freedom curved-surface triangular element is introduced and a method to set up the curved surface triangular elements from a planar-triangular mesh is proposed. Furthermore, the approximation accuracy of the triangular element for sphere surface and cylinder surface is evaluated. |
