Summary: | Ceramics containing α‐SiAlON with improved high‐temperature properties such as thermal stability and creep and oxidation resistance were synthesized. The influence of starting composition on the amount of residual grain‐boundary phase has been explored. Results have been interpreted in terms of compatibility phase relationships in the Si3N4–AlN–Al2O3–Re2O3 system and transient evolutions. |
