Mossbauer studies of Sr sub(2)FeMoO sub(6) and related compounds
Mossbauer spectra of Sr sub(2)FeMo sub(1-x)W sub(x)O sub(6) with 0 less than or equal to x less than or equal to 0.4 show iron in two different kinds of metal neighbor environment. One has six (Mo,W) neighbors associated with the ideal NaCl-type order of Fe and (Mo,W), and the other has five (Mo,W)...

Summary: | Mossbauer spectra of Sr sub(2)FeMo sub(1-x)W sub(x)O sub(6) with 0 less than or equal to x less than or equal to 0.4 show iron in two different kinds of metal neighbor environment. One has six (Mo,W) neighbors associated with the ideal NaCl-type order of Fe and (Mo,W), and the other has five (Mo,W) neighbors and one Fe, due to an antisite defect. The cation order improves with W substitution, and there is a slight increase in the Curie temperature. copyright 2002 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved. |
