Summary:Western countries have found that Medical students have a prejudice and negative attitude towards people with same gender attraction. There is a dearth of literature on people with same gender attraction in Indian context. The objective of the study was to assess the attitude towards people with same gender attraction and to find out the predictors of attitude towards the same. A cross-sectional study was conducted among medical students across Mangalore, India with a sample size of 672. After informed consent, data was collected and analysed. The study found that medical students had a neutral stance/less positive on people with same gender attraction. Gender and Marital status emerged as predictors of attitude towards people with same gender attraction.
