Dynamic snap buckling of an elastoplastic shallow arch with elastically supported and clamped ends

The dynamic snap buckling of an elastoplastic shallow arch has been analysed by using the incremental nonlinear finite element methods. The ends of the arch are elastically supported and clamped in the radial and peripheral directions, respectively; the arch is loaded by step pressure. Both geometri...

Description
Summary:The dynamic snap buckling of an elastoplastic shallow arch has been analysed by using the incremental nonlinear finite element methods. The ends of the arch are elastically supported and clamped in the radial and peripheral directions, respectively; the arch is loaded by step pressure. Both geometric and material nonlinearity are considered. Critical values for dynamic snap buckling are obtained at different elastic supporting stiffness.
