Summary:Samples of the system (1-x)YBa2Cu3Oy-xBa(Y1/2Nb1/2)O3 were sintered by solid state reaction and liquid phase processing in the range x = 0-@close@ 0.31. The influence of perovskite addition on phase formation, inter- and intra-grain critical temperature is discussed. The reason for the decreased critical temperature and the irreversibility line is the significant oxygen deficiency of the material. 10 refs.
