Summary:Multilayer ceramic capacitors of high capacitance were manufactured from cerium-modified barium titanate. Compared to Ca, Sn and Zr modified barium titanate this formulation has 3 strong points: simple composition, high flexure strength, and Curie temperature easily controlled by Ce content. Dielectric properties and chemical inhomogeneity of BaTiO\+v\3\-v\ ceramics sintered with CeO\+v\2\-v\:1.5TiO\+v\2\-v\ were studied using TEM, XRD and EDS.
