Summary:Generation of vertical Bloch line (VBL) pairs under the influence of spatially localized pulses of an in-plane magnetic field is investigated numerically using Slonczewski's equations of domain wall motion. The parameters of these pulses, which can effectively generate a pair of VBLs, were found as a function of the drive field moving the wall.
