Effect of ultra-fine MgO doping on flux pinning properties of Bi-2223/Ag superconducting tapes

Ultra-fine MgO particles were doped into Bi-2223 precursor powder. The effect to MgO doping on flux pinning properties of Bi-2223/Ag tapes investigated. At 77 K, a J ct of 33.6 kA/cm 2 in self-field, and 11.2 kA/cm 2 at 0.1 T (H//c-axis) has been achieved in the 1 wt% MgO doped samples.
