Description
Summary:An Implantable Cardioverter-Defibrillator was implanted in an asymptomatic 56-year-old man, with type 2 Brugada pattern on ECG, inducible ventricular fibrillation at elective electrophysiological study, and a family history of sudden cardiac death. Seventeen years later, the patient was admitted to the hospital due to palpitations related to a typical atrial flutter. A transthoracic echocardiogram unexpectedly revealed a clinically manifest hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.
