Summary: | Two distinct single phases of ferromagnetic LaMn0.5Co0.5O3 were synthesised by the low-temperature glycine-nitrate method. A sample heated to 700 C showed a single well-defined ferromagnetic transition at Tc = 225 K whereas the sample heated to 1300 C showed a sharp ferromagnetic transition at Tc = 150 K Mixed phase behaviour was observed for samples heated in the temperature range 700-1300 C. 10 refs. |
