Summary: | The technology of deposition of hydraulic protective coatings on the surface of steel propeller shafts by plasma surfacing ensures effective protection of the surface of the shaft between the bearings against corrosion and increases the surface life of the friction couple wetted by water. Technology and equipment have been developed for mechanised plasma surfacing and spraying wear- and corrosion-resisting materials onto working surfaces of large rotating bodies up to 4000 mm long, with a diameter of 1000 mm and weighing up to 2500 kg during repair and fabrication. |
