On the evaluation of the true phase of interferograms

Summary: | An iterative technique that uses sine and cosine modulations along with low‐pass filtering to extract the true phase values of a carrier frequency interferogram is proposed in this paper. An illustrative example is given in which this technique is applied. Results generated from the application of this technique are compared with exact phase values, and excellent agreement between the exact and computed phase values is demonstrated. © 2002 John Wiley & Sons, Inc.
