Novel model for the estimation of radiation emission from printed circuit boards with narrow ground pattern
A circuit model, based on TEM assumption, is provided for estimating the radiation emission of a typical PCB geometry, namely, microstrip. We find that an imperfect ground trace will lead to an unbalanced circuit and radiate EM energy significantly. Measured data are presented to confirm the results...

Summary: | A circuit model, based on TEM assumption, is provided for estimating the radiation emission of a typical PCB geometry, namely, microstrip. We find that an imperfect ground trace will lead to an unbalanced circuit and radiate EM energy significantly. Measured data are presented to confirm the results of theoretical study. © 2002 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
