Summary:This contribution provides a general insight into the financial risks associated with construction business overseas and exports of an economic, political and special nature. Methods of providing security with the aid of government and private export credit agencies as well as letter of credit and documentary collection are thus described. The following chapter explains special financing alternatives in overseas trade including supplier credit of exporter, customer credit and forfeiting. Finally, providing of securities as well as instruments against exchange rate risks as currency futures, currency options and foreign currency loans are described.
