Summary: | BaTi4O9 ceramic powders were synthesised by a modified Pechini method using EDTA as a chelating agent. A light yellow, molecular-level, homogeneously mixed gel was prepared, and transferred into a porous resin intermediate through charring. The precursors and derived oxide powders were characterised by DTA, TG, and XRD. Single-phase and well-crystallised BaTi4O9 powders were obtained from pulverised resin at a temperature of 1200 C for 2 h. 9 refs. |
