Structure, sintering behavior and dielectric properties of silica-coated BaTiO3
Silica was homogeneously coated on the surface of barium titanate fine particles via the sol-gel method. The thickness of the film was about 5 nm. HRTEM investigation and EDS analysis confirmed the existence of the silica which was gelatinised on the surface of TiO2-x. The coating process can improv...

Summary: | Silica was homogeneously coated on the surface of barium titanate fine particles via the sol-gel method. The thickness of the film was about 5 nm. HRTEM investigation and EDS analysis confirmed the existence of the silica which was gelatinised on the surface of TiO2-x. The coating process can improve the sintering behaviour and flatten temperature coefficient curves of ceramics based on BaTiO3. 10 refs. |
