Summary: | Precipitation reaction of a sulfur alkaline solution with a silver complex aqueous solution produces nanocrystalline Ag sub(2)S at room temperature under atmospheric pressure. The product has been characterized through XRD, TEM and XPS analysis. The results show that the sulfur alkaline solution makes Ag sub(2)S crystallize well in aqueous solution. The silver complex as a reagent, relative to the silver ion, reduces the byproduct greatly. The synthesis proceeds rapidly and conveniently. |
