Summary: | According to material structure of 3-D braided composites, a stiffness combination method is proposed to predict elastic properties of composite specimens. For 3-D braided T300/QY9512 composite, the predicted results agree well with test results. After analyzed, the rule of elastic modulus and Poisson ratios with fiber volume content and braiding angle, it is found that elastic moduli and v12, v13 ascend with fiber volume content increase, whereas v23 descend. And E11 descends with braiding angle increase while E22 and E33 ascend. Poisson ratios do not change as elastic moduli do. Elastic properties of composite specimens with various width and height are also analyzed. When the number of inner unit cells is large enough, the predicted elastic modulus and Poisson ratio approach to a certain value. |
