Description
Summary:The discrete-ordinates method is used to solve radiative-transfer problems, in plane-parallel media. We present a generalized analytical discrete-ordinates formulation for solving single- and multi-region problems. Included in our model are internal sources, reflecting and emitting boundaries, incident distribution of radiation on each surface and a beam incident on one surface. Numerical results for three test problems are reported.
