Description
Summary:This paper describes a new data acquisition system and reports its qualification testing. This system, tested as part of a study of two-phase flow, is able to store the useful part of the recorded signal, in our case the phase indicator function. The signal can then be processed further (in order to perform flow pattern identification and characterization for instance). This system has been tested by comparing its results with those obtained from a previous real-time data acquisition system. Cross-validation between these two systems is checked for the void fraction, the vapour time and the interface velocity. Finally, the system performance is tested by studying the influence of the duration of data acquisition on the measurement accuracy.
