CCD photometric studies of rapid variability in eight blazars
We present the results of monitoring of a sample of eight blazars in the B, V and R bands during 2001–02. In our monitoring results, PKS 1510−089 exhibits a remarkable variability, PKS 0754+101 and S5 0716+714 exhibit short-time-scale variability, and 3C 279 exhibits medium-time-scale variability wi...

Summary: | We present the results of monitoring of a sample of eight blazars in the B, V and R bands during 2001–02. In our monitoring results, PKS 1510−089 exhibits a remarkable variability, PKS 0754+101 and S5 0716+714 exhibit short-time-scale variability, and 3C 279 exhibits medium-time-scale variability with a large amplitude. The characteristics of the light curve for PKS 1510 − 089 and the evidence of supermassive black holes (SMBHs) for PKS 0754+101 and S5 0716+714 are discussed. |
