Summary: | Ceramics of composition Ca(Ti(0.95)Li(0.05))O(2.85)F(0.15) are elaborated starting from the nominal composition 0.95 CaTiO3 + 0.05CaLiF3. This powder mixture is finely milled and disc tablets of 13-mm diameter and about 1-mm thickness are prepared by cold isostatic pressing. The pellets are sintered in free atmosphere at various temperatures (850, 950, 1000 or 1100DGC) during 2, 4, 6 or 8 hours. The optimal sintering temperature and holding time are respectively 950DGC and 4 hours. The permittivity Sr and the dielectric losses tan6 are followed as a function of temperature from 25DGC up to 500DGC at 100Hz or 1 kHz. Several dielectric phenomena are observed beyond 200DGC. The curves epsilon(r)-T are consistent with the specifications of class I capacitors. |
