Growth, microhardness and optical characterization of l-arginine hydrofluoride (LAHF) single crystals

Single crystal of l-arginine hydrofluoride (LAHF—C 6H 14N 4O 2·HF), a promising analog of LAP was grown by slow solvent evaporation method from its aqueous solution. LAHF crystals of dimension upto 15×8×3 mm 3 are conveniently grown in a period of 60–70 days. The grown crystals were characterized by...

Description
Summary:Single crystal of l-arginine hydrofluoride (LAHF—C 6H 14N 4O 2·HF), a promising analog of LAP was grown by slow solvent evaporation method from its aqueous solution. LAHF crystals of dimension upto 15×8×3 mm 3 are conveniently grown in a period of 60–70 days. The grown crystals were characterized by single crystal XRD, FTIR, UV-Vis-NIR, TGA, DTA and hardness studies.
