Summary: | A Welsh native and nurse and midwife by training, she is Chair of the Independent Review of Maternity Services at the Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust, UK. Before her work in Nottingham, she chaired the high-profile Independent Review of Maternity Services at the Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust in 2017–22, the largest maternity enquiry in the history of the National Health Service involving 1862 families. Since the publication of their final report in 2022, which recommended actions locally and nationally, she says “We have made significant strides in the right direction.
