Description
Summary:This paper describes a mathematical approach for modeling the eddy current effects in permanent magnets under pulsed field. This approach is particularly useful for designing and optimizing pulsed field magnetometers, which are widely used for complete characterization of permanent magnets. The scheme is based on a transient finite element model and it takes into account the real texture of the permanent magnet. Numerical examples are presented to validate the method.
