Description
Summary:Incomplete stent apposition has been documented after sirolimus-eluting stent implantation. However, its clinical sequelae remain controversial. To identify the incidence and its clinical consequences of ISA, IVUS was performed on 78 patients. In spite of well apposition immediately after the deployment, late stent malapposition occurred after 6-months follow-up. A total of 7 patients who received SES showed ISA. There were no significant differences in IVUS measurements between patients with or without ISA. However, there was an increase in external elastic membrane area in ISA group than non-ISA group (19.69 ± 3.50 vs. 15.05 ± 2.56 mm 2 , P
