Description
Summary:This study aims to evaluate the surgical treatment and clinical outcomes of convergent dislocation of the elbow (CDE) in adults. Between January 2017 and September 2022, we performed a retrospective study of patients with CDE presenting in XXX and XXX Hospital and receiving operative treatments after failed closed reductions. The elbow and the forearm's range of motion (ROM) were measured and compared using a paired t-test between pre- and post-operation. Furthermore, the Mayo Elbow Performance Score (MEPS) assessed objective elbow evaluation and functional outcomes. Eleven patients were followed up for an average period of 9.8 months. Four males and seven females were enrolled, aged 31.5 ± 9.0 years. The average ROM of flexion-extension at the elbow was significantly improved after surgery (27.3 ± 12.3° vs. 116.8 ± 23.7°, p
