Summary: | Using Kerr microscopy, the magnetization reversal of the weakly ferromagnetically coupled Permalloy layer, in an FeMn biased spin-valve structure, has been studied. The samples were prepared on thin glass substrates to observe the magnetization behavior of the free layer by high resolution optical techniques. The magnetization processes are strongly influenced by 360/spl deg/-walls and by edge-related domains. Observations are presented on isolated elements as well as on the active and the inactive parts of sensor structures. |
