Summary:The isothermal sections of the phase diagram for the Dy–Cu–Sn ternary system have been constructed at 770 and 670 K. The existence of three intermetallic compounds has been confirmed and two new ternary compounds were found. The crystal structure refinement for the Dy 6Cu 8Sn 8 compound was carried out by a single crystal method. The formation of a DyCu 5 solid solution region (5 at.% Sn) was observed. The magnetic and electric properties for the Dy 7Cu 35Sn 11 compound were measured.
