Description
Summary:A pulsed electromagnetic sensor (PEMS) utilising the difference in electrical and magnetic properties of metals was designed for automatic sorting of scrap stainless steel (SS). Experimental results for the identification and separation of stainless steel are presented. The design of a prototype being developed at Delft University of Technology and the results obtained in the laboratory are also discussed.
