Isothermal sections of the Ti–Co–Sn and Ti–Co–Sb systems

Isothermal sections at 870 and 1070 K have been investigated for the Ti–Co–Sn and Ti–Co–Sb ternary systems. Phase relations in the Ti–Co–Sn system are characterized by the presence of extended solid solutions Ti 5Co x Sn 3 ( x = 0–1.0) and TiCo 2- x Sn ( x = 0–1.0). For the ternary Ti 5Co 0.46Sb 2.5...

Description
Summary:Isothermal sections at 870 and 1070 K have been investigated for the Ti–Co–Sn and Ti–Co–Sb ternary systems. Phase relations in the Ti–Co–Sn system are characterized by the presence of extended solid solutions Ti 5Co x Sn 3 ( x = 0–1.0) and TiCo 2- x Sn ( x = 0–1.0). For the ternary Ti 5Co 0.46Sb 2.54 compound the crystal structure was refined from X-ray powder diffraction data by the Rietveld method (W 5Si 3-type structure, space group I4/mcm, Z = 4, a = 1.0474(1), c = 0.52415(1) nm).
